SOMPAPADI



Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup gram flour
1 1/4 cup plain flour
1 1/2 cup water
2 tsp milk
250 gms ghee
2 1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp cardamom powder
2 tsp charmagaz
4 inch square pieces of thin polyethene sheet


Method:
1. mix gram flour and plain flour properly. Take a heavy saucepan and heat ghee in it.
2. Add Flour mixture and roast on low heat until light golden.
3. cool a little, stirring occasionaly.
4. Make syrup of sugar, water and milk.
5. Being syrup to 2-1/2 thread consistency.
6. Pour it into the flour mixture.
7. Beat properly with a large fork until the mixture forms thread like mixture.
8. Transfer onto a greased surface and roll to 1 inch thickness.
9. Add the charmagaz seeds and cardamom. Push down with palm.
10. Cut into 1 inch squares.
